ZLAN5G12 serial server is a standard 1U rack-mounted 16 serial port RS232/485/422 protocol converter between TCP/IP developed by Shanghai ZLAN Information Technology Co., Ltd. ZLAN5G12 supports 16 RS232 serial ports/16 RS485/RS422 serial ports (RS422 needs to order 5G12-422 models), and RS232 supports flow control. It is connected to the ZLAN5G12 through a network cable, and 16 serial ports can work full-duplex at the same time. Each serial port can be used as TCP server, TCP client, UDP, and UDP multicast. At the same time, it supports 4 network ports with switch function.

ZLAN5G12 uses an IP address for every 8 serial ports, and different PORTS are distinguished by ports. It also supports 8 serial ports to use 8 IPs, and the ports are the same, distinguished by IP. A total of 2 IPs are required for 16 channels. ZLAN5G12 has functions such as Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU, serial port to Telnet protocol, etc.

ZLAN5G12 using ARM9 processing chip, it can support high-speed data transmission of 921.6Kbps without packet loss.

The serial port of 5G12 is in the form of RJ45. When using RS232, RJ45 to DB9 (male) adapter cable accessories are available. When using RS485, you can use RJ45 to 2pin terminals. Please refer to the hardware section below for line sequence.

Port differentiation: 8 IPs can be merged into one IP, different ports are suitable for networks lacking IPs, IP differentiation: one IP becomes 2~8 IPs, different ports are suitable for applications with fixed port numbers (for example, port 520 of Modbus TCP needs to be fixed).
• TCP server, TCP client, UDP mode, and UDP multicast are supported.
• The baud rate supports 300~923200bps, the data bit supports 5~9 bits, and the check bit can be no check, odd check, even check, mark, and space five ways, and supports CTS/RTS hardware flow control and XON/XOFF soft flow control.
• The MQTT gateway function is supported.
