ZLAN5240 serial server is a protocol converter between 2 serial RS232/485/422 and TCP/IP developed by Shanghai ZLAN Information Technology Co., Ltd. It also supports Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU. ZLAN5240 supports 2 RS232 serial ports and 2 RS422/485 serial ports, and connects to the ZLAN5240 through a network cable to achieve full-duplex work of 2 serial ports at the same time. Among them, the RS485 interface is the green terminal interface, and RS232/RS485 is the RJ45 network port connection interface. ZLAN can be equipped with RJ45 to DB9 cable, 2 such cables can be connected to 2 RJ45 RS232 interfaces can lead to 2 DB9 male RS232 connectors. The other 5240 provides an additional Ethernet interface that can be used as a switch or cascading. ZLAN5240 supports the expansion of 4 serial ports, 6 serial ports, and 8 serial ports through the level networking port. The 5240 provides two power access methods, power socket and terminal block, wide voltage range, and provides shell ground wiring protection.

The serial server can easily connect the serial port device to Ethernet and the Internet, and realize the network upgrade of the serial port device.
