Overview
ZLAN9153 optical fiber serial port server is an industrial-grade serial port - optical fiber conversion equipment developed by Shanghai ZLAN Information Technology Co., Ltd. The device can realize transparent transmission between one RS232/RS485/RS422 data and optical fiber.
The ZLAN9153 optical fiber adopts a single-mode single-fiber SC interface, and the use of one optical fiber transmission can save the cost of optical fiber when transmitting over long distances. The power input can be a plug or a 2-wire terminal block, and a wide voltage input range of 9~24V is provided.
At the same time, it has a three-in-one serial server with RS232/485/422. RS232 is the DB9 universal interface, and RS485/RS422 is the terminal block, which is easy to install.
Different from ordinary serial-to-optical products (such as ZLAN9163), ZLAN9153 does not simply convert the serial port level signal into an optical fiber signal, but first converts the serial port data into a TCP/IP signal, and then transmits it on the optical fiber. Therefore, the ZLAN9153 fiber signal can be directly connected to the fiber switch and directly participate in the data transmission and exchange at the network layer.
There are basically two uses for ZLAN9153:
1.ZLAN9153 is used in pairs/pairs, that is, two ZLAN9153 optical fiber interfaces are connected, which can realize the extension of RS485/RS232/RS422 signals through optical fibers to reach an extension of 20 kilometers. This method can also be implemented by ZLAN9163, which is more cost-effective, please refer to "Two Ways of 485 to Optical Fiber" for the selection of two models.
2. ZLAN9153 used individually, directly connected to the optical switch or connected to the Ethernet switch after optical fiber to Ethernet (ZLAN9100). Thereafter, ZLAN9153 can exchange data with any network device in the network. If you are communicating with a computer, you can collect data from ZLAN9153 serial port through the virtual serial port after installing the virtual serial port software (ZLVircom) on the computer.
The second usage is the advantage of ZLAN9153, which not only reduces the number of serial ports to optical fibers from 1 to 1, but also directly uses the network for data collection without using serial ports on the computer side. The computer side can also use the virtual serial port software, and the original host computer software can also be directly realized without modifying it into network communication. ZLAN9153 truly realizes the function of fiber serial port server.
*Note: The ZLAN9153 is divided into 2 sub-models: ZLAN9153-3 (A-terminal) and ZLAN9153-5 (B-terminal), if they are used in pairing, these 2 models must be different sub-models. That is, the A terminal is connected to the B terminal, the B terminal is connected to the A terminal, and the same sub-model cannot be connected. When the ZLAN9153 is connected to an optical switch, ask whether the optical port of the optical switch is A or B, and if it is A, select ZLAN9153-5 or ZLAN9153-3.
